CUSTOM EMBOSSING

Embossing. In-House. In Seattle. Done Right.

Most logos sit on top of the fabric. They get printed on or stitched on. Embossing is different. We press your logo into the fabric itself, using heat and pressure, so it stands up out of the garment in smooth 3D.

You can see it across the room and feel it with your eyes closed. And because there is no ink, there is nothing to crack, peel or fade. Ever.

premium and timeless

Now the part almost nobody else can say: we do all of it inside our own shop in Mukilteo. Our machines, our people, our hands checking every piece. This is the same shop that has made embossed apparel for Microsoft, Amazon, Google and a long list of other S&P 500 companies.

in a few words

What is embossing ?

Close-up of pink hoodie fabric with an embossed wordmark running across it.

Picture pressing a coin into warm wax. The shape stays. That is embossing. We create a metal stamp of your logo, made just for you, then press it into the garment with heat. The fabric keeps the shape, and your logo rises out of it in 3D.

really simple, right?

Pretty much. Take a good garment, add a custom metal stamp, a little heat and pressure, and suddenly your logo is part of the shirt. Simple idea. Very premium result.

Why doing it in-house changes everything

we’re picky on purpose

What can we emboss?

Straight answer, because you deserve one: a crisp, deep press needs thick, cotton-heavy fabric. So we emboss exactly three types of garments, and we’re choosy about the weights and blends that make the cut:

  • Heavyweight hoodies. The fan favorite, and the deepest, most dramatic press.
  • Crewneck sweatshirts. Team merch that looks like it came off a store shelf.
  • Heavyweight t-shirts. Substantial cotton tees only; the thin ones can’t hold the shape.

That’s the whole list. No hats, no exceptions: we can’t emboss them, and we’d rather tell you that straight than sell you something sad. When a garment won’t do your logo justice, we’ll say so and point you to screen printing or embroidery instead. We do both, under the same roof.

the best logos for embossing

What designs work best for embossing?

Model wearing a dark blue sweatshirt with an embossed curved logo on the chest.

Embossing likes simple, confident artwork. The cleaner the shapes and the bolder the details, the better the fabric can hold the design. Here’s what tends to look best once it hits the press:

  • Bold shapes and chunky lettering. They press deep and stay crisp.
  • Chest placement, up to 9 by 9 inches. A small mark on the left chest, or big and centered on the front. That’s where embossing lives.
  • Skip the fine print. Very thin lines, tiny text, and photo-style shading get lost in fabric. Those are jobs for printing or embroidery, and we’ll tell you which.

Minimums. Turnaround. No Surprises.

Competitors make you dig for this stuff. We’d rather just say it: the minimum is 48 pieces and turnaround is 4 weeks. Every job gets a custom quote, because a big logo on 48 hoodies and a small mark on 500 tees are different animals. No games, no fine print, no mystery.

HOW WE MAKE IT HAPPEN

  1. Start with a conversation. Reach out and tell us what you know so far. Even if that’s just, “We want to make something cool.”
  2. We figure it out together. We’ll help with the garment, artwork, placement, quantities, and all the little details that make embossing work.
  3. You approve the plan. We’ll put everything together for you to review before anything goes into production. No surprises.
  4. We make it right here. Once approved, your order gets embossed in-house by our team and checked along the way.
  5. We get it to you. We can ship your finished merch wherever it needs to go, or you can swing by the shop and pick it up.

F.A.Q.

Still curious? Start here.

Done right, on the right garment, an embossed logo can last as long as the garment itself. There’s no ink sitting on top of the fabric and nothing applied that can crack or peel. The design is physically formed into the garment, which is one of the reasons we love embossing for premium merch.

Absolutely. Embossing can be the hero detail on the chest while screen printing or embroidery handles another part of the garment. Mixing techniques can make a piece feel much more custom without making it feel overdesigned. And because we handle these processes in-house, you don’t have to coordinate three different vendors to make one hoodie.

Every embossing project starts with a custom metal stamp made specifically for your artwork. We also have to dial in the temperature, pressure, placement, and garment so the finished result comes out right. There’s real setup involved before the first piece ever gets pressed, and 48 pieces is where the process starts making sense for both you and us.

Yep. Embossing raises the artwork out of the fabric, while debossing presses the artwork down into it. They create two very different looks, and depending on your logo and the garment, one may work better than the other. If you’re not sure which direction to go, we can help you figure it out.

We quote every job individually, because garment, quantity, and logo size all change the answer. Quotes are fast, human, and free of surprises.

That’s the whole point of our free sample. If you’re planning 48 pieces or more, we’ll mail you a premade embossed piece so your fingers can make the decision.
