60 Kids. Mariners Legends. One Community Showing Up Big.
If you’ve ever wondered what it looks like when a community shows up for kids… this was it.
On January 24, 2026, Rick’s Locker took over Dick’s Sporting Goods in Issaquah for a day that was about way more than baseball. Yes, there were bats. Yes, there were gloves. Yes, there were high-fives everywhere.
But what really happened that day?
Confidence was restored.
Belonging was built.
And 60 kids walked out feeling like big leaguers.
We were honored to be part of it.

What Is Rick’s Locker?
Rick’s Locker is part of Rick’s Toys for Kids, a nonprofit committed to removing financial barriers for young athletes. Their mission is simple and powerful:
We Pay. Kids Play.
And they mean it.
Whether it’s baseball, softball, or another sport entirely, the goal is to make sure kids have the equipment they need to step onto the field feeling ready — not left out.
60 Kids, One Incredible Day
Families from Snohomish, Duvall, and inner-city Seattle came together for this special event. Many of the kids from Snohomish and Duvall were recent flood victims, which made the day even more meaningful.
This wasn’t just about gear. It was about hope.
Each child received:
- A bat and glove
- Belt, pants, and batting gloves
- Nike and SKIMS clothing
- Softball fielder’s masks
- A Rick’s Locker team T-shirt
That last one? That was us.
We were proud to provide custom Rick’s Locker tees for every kid and coach — because when you walk out looking like part of the same team, something shifts. You feel included. You feel seen.
And honestly, that’s what great custom branded apparel is supposed to do.

Supporting Teams, Not Just Players
Rick’s Locker didn’t stop at individual athletes.
They also outfitted 15 teams with:
- Buckets of baseballs and softballs
- Helmets
- Bats
- Catcher’s gear
Because baseball is a team sport. And when entire teams are equipped properly, whole communities benefit.
When you zoom out, the impact gets even bigger:
- 1,555 kids served
- 1,361 pieces of equipment distributed
That’s not just a good day. That’s real, measurable impact.

Mariners Legends Showed Up
What made this event even more powerful was who showed up.
We had the opportunity to interview:
- Dan Wilson, Mariners Manager
- Charlie Furbush, Mariners Pitcher
- Rick Rizzs, Mariners Broadcaster
These aren’t just baseball names. They’re leaders in the sport. And hearing them talk about why youth access to sports matters? Goosebumps.
They didn’t just shake hands and take photos. They encouraged kids. They signed gear. They shared stories. They showed up with heart.
We captured those conversations on video, and if you haven’t watched it yet, we highly recommend it. There’s something different about hearing why this mission matters directly from people who’ve lived the game at the highest level.
Why This Matters to Us at Logo Unlimited
We make custom branded apparel and premium branded swag every day.
But this is the stuff that reminds us why it matters.
A T-shirt isn’t just fabric.
A logo isn’t just decoration.
Team gear isn’t just merch.
When done right, it creates belonging.
Being able to produce Rick’s Locker shirts in-house here in Washington and see them worn immediately by kids who genuinely needed support? That hits different.
We talk a lot about “anti-boring swag.” This was the opposite of boring. This was meaningful. This was purpose-driven.
And we’re incredibly grateful to have sponsored and supported it.

Community Partnerships That Made It Possible
Huge respect to everyone who helped make this day happen:
- Rick’s Toys for Kids / Rick’s Locker
- Seattle Mariners
- Dick’s Sporting Goods
- Logo Unlimited
- Smith Family Foundation
- Dodie Smith Charity Foundation
- Volunteers and coaches who gave their time
When great teammates come together, amazing things happen. This was proof.
Want to Support the Mission?
Rick’s Locker isn’t just about baseball. Their mission supports kids across all sports.
If you believe that every child deserves the chance to play, grow, and thrive, we encourage you to learn more and consider supporting their work.
Because when communities invest in kids, everybody wins.
